Quzon Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section lies at Quzon along Zhagaqu northward to Xishan and Kuyou, Pazhug District, Tingri County, Tibet. It was named by Yin Jixiang and Guo Shizeng in 1976.
Lithology and Thickness
Claystone and Sandstone. Gray-green silty mudstone and shale intercalated with sandstone, containing irregular clay nodules in the mudstone. Thickness >200 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Unknown: The bottom is in faulted contact with the Ronggama Fm, trending WNW-ENE
Upper contact
Unknown: The top is in faulted contact with the Jilong Fm, trending WNW-ENE.
Regional extent
Distributed along Quzon and Kede of Pazhug District, Tingri County westward to Yali Village of Nyalam. Also exposed at Yunzhug of Xianza County north of the Yarlung Zangbo River.

Fossils
At Beishan-Suishipo of Quzon, several fragments of Brachiopods Syringothyris ex. gr. lydekkeri and Dictyoclostus cf. viminalis as well as crinoid stems have been collected.
